Welcome to the New Visit Gay Charlotte

Welcome to the new Visit Gay Charlotte webpage. We’ve added many new sections to this site, as suggested by the community. Our goal is to highlight area events and programs, as well as to become a valuable resource for visitors traveling to our beautiful city. We also are a resource center for residents old and new. Thank you to everyone who has contributed their ideas and suggestions over the past several months. Here are new additions to our site:

PET CONNECT: a resource guide that covers hotels, restaurants, bars (yes, bars), and parks that are pet friendly. Pet Connect will offer health and grooming tips, and highlight a Pet of the Month.

XYZ ADVICE COLUMN: ever hear of Dear Abby? Well, each month we will feature 3 questions submitted by you, the community. Responses to these questions will be offered from the female, male, and trans or “ze” perspective.

FORK & CORK: this page is dedicated to the foodies in Charlotte. New restaurants will be highlighted monthly, as well as local “favorites” that newcomers may not know about. Submit your favorite restaurant to our Food and Beverage Editor, and we may send you out to eat there on US!

EACH ONE OF US: an insightful social justice blog concerning a variety of perspectives on topics that affect us all. Francisco White is the blogger for this section, and he will tackle subjects that are directly affecting the Charlotte community.

WHERE’S WILBUR: our VGC mascot loves to travel… follow him as he makes his way around the city. Monthly contests will be showcased… can you guess where he is?

DEALS & STEALS: area businesses have an opportunity to offer discounts to visitors and residents here. You may also order your very own VGC souvenirs.

OUT & ABOUT: this page is exclusively for our local promoters and organizations to promote their parties and events. This page will also highlight local talent within the performing arts community… singers, drag queens, poets… here’s your chance to be noticed and offer your services for hire.

VISITOR’S GALLERY: an opportunity for visitors to upload photos and let us know how they enjoyed visiting our city.
